About NellyBelle

Since childhood, I've loved handcrafts, embroidery and sewing. After a degree in graphic art and working as an art director, I continued embroidering while raising our children. Traditional embroidery, cross stitch, needlepoint, smocking and duplicate stitch, I created things for our babies, then children and family, even selling a couple of my designs to Better Homes and Gardens for one of their craft books. The purchase of a new sewing machine 20 years ago, that also did embroidery, was a turning point. Machine embroidery captivated me! I always wanted to change something with the designs I purchased and began tweaking designs and finally started creating my own. I design the way I like to embroider for my own monogram and embroidery business - designs with as much detail and the lowest stitch count possible. I prefer to not offer stitch heavy designs to my clients. They can't be priced attractively for both of us. So, NellyBelle designs are planned and digitized for as low a stitch count and as few jumps as possible. Designs range from formal to whimsical and I hope you love them as much as I've enjoyed creating them! Do let me know what kind of designs you would like to see added.
